Math & science tutoring
in Kelowna, in person.
I live and teach in Kelowna. In-person tutoring is a service I actively offer here — not a fallback for when online won't do. Some students simply do better with someone sitting beside them, and for those students this is the right choice from the start.
For in-person tutoring, a phone call is often the quickest way to sort out timing and location.
Where we meet
I come to you. For younger students especially, working at their own kitchen table — with their own books and notes already out — removes a lot of friction from the session.
A neutral, quiet table away from the household. This is often the better option for teenagers, and for families who would rather not host a session at home.
Sessions run 60 minutes and cost $60, the same as online. For in-person sessions you can pay in cash when I arrive, or by card if you'd rather.
Who you're letting into your home
A fair question, and one worth answering plainly before you book.
More than two decades teaching math and science, with deep familiarity with the courses BC students are taking today.
A valid British Columbia teaching certificate — not a tutoring-company credential.
A current criminal record check, as required for working with children in BC.
What I teach
Mathematics for Grades 8–12, Science for Grades 9–10, and BC Physics 11 — the courses Kelowna students are actually taking, taught by someone who has spent twenty-plus years inside BC classrooms and watched the curriculum change more than once.
